Belgian artist Mieke Daneels leaves her mark at the Casting Studio building

Belgian artist Mieke Daneels has left her mark at the Casting Studio building. The intriguing wall painting illustrates a man getting shot down by a bullet.

Mieke Daneels named the work "Ppfff...". The art piece dominates the first floor of the building.

Giving the size of the work (2,5m to 3m) makes it hard to capture it on photo. Maybe for the best, because this is the kind of work you really need to see with your own eyes.

You can interpret the work in many ways. I see it as an illustration of how actors feel just before any audition.

Visits by appointment only: Casting Studio, Alpacastraat 29, 9000 Ghent, Belgium, phone +32 (0)9 232 50 00.
